Other activities

  • The Directorate was represented by Mr. Tunde Sigbeku (CRO AFPD) and three other regulatory Officers attended a programme organized by Poultry Association of Nigeria Lagos chapter (PANLAG) on the 14th January, 2014.
    • A goodwill message was delivered with emphasis on the activities of the directorate and a call for the development of a framework of collaboration between the Agency and Industry.
  • An additional division was approved for the directorate which brings the number of divisions of the directorate to four (4):
    • Veterinary medicines division (VMD)
    • Pesticides and Agrochemicals Division (PAD)
    • Animal Feeds and Premixes Division (AFPD)
    • Inspection, Regulations and Stakeholder Relation Division (IRSD)
  • Visit to Standard Organization of Nigeria requesting for the standard of bio-pesticide and bio-fertilizer on 29th April, 2014
  • Visit to Standard Organization of Nigeria requesting for the standard of bio-pesticide and bio-fertilizer on 29th April, 2014.
  • Dr Bukar Ali Usman resumed for duties as the Director of VMAP on 9th September, 2014.
  • Tunde Sigbeku represented the Director General at the 3rd Joint Annual Conference of ASAN and NIAS on 7th – 9th September, 2014 at Ibadan Conference Center, University of Ibadan.
  • PRO (PAD) and ROI (PAD) participated in a surveillance and sensitization inspection for NAFDAC and Your Health on the appropriate handling and storage of pesticide for retailers of pesticides at Idumagbo Environ in Lagos Island, Lagos on the 30th of September, 2014
